EN Series Steel

A wide variety of steel types, including carbon, alloy, and stainless steel, are covered under the EN series steel. In the EN series, each type of steel is designated by a distinct four-digit number. The last two digits of the EN series steel number denote the carbon content in hundredths of a percent, and the second digit specifies the percentage of the major alloying element or group. EN series steel is ideal for the manufacturing of tools, production machinery, and auto parts, narrow cross section, low tensile strength, and heavy forging components for automotive and general engineering.
